Roller Blinds?

Roller blinds are made of fabric attached to a timber or aluminium roller. Just like the name suggests! They can be sized to fit any window, and come in a huge range of fabrics. They can offer UV protection, complete blockout, or be merely sheer.

Take a look at our fabric library, or call us to find out about our full range.

How are roller blinds different from other blinds?

Roller blinds are different as their design is particularly durable. Options are flexible as you can choose from a very large range of customisable sizes, fabrics and finishes, and therefore get more control when it comes to interior design and functionality.

What kind of fabrics can you use for roller blinds?

Block out fabrics are made with a coating that stops light from getting through. This is great for bedrooms, places that get a lot of sun, or rooms where you want complete privacy. This type of fabric offers you maximum protection from heat and UV and offer great insulation.

Sheer or translucent fabrics filter natural light and offer varying levels of visual privacy. They’re a great option if you want to allow light in while still having some privacy and UV protection.

Sunscreen fabrics are perfect for providing you with a clear view to the outside whilst still letting natural light into your home and providing daytime privacy.

How do I choose my blinds?

1. Decide how you’ll use the room.

Fabric choice matters depending on how you want to use each room.

Bedrooms require more privacy, so closed weave fabrics are a good choice.

Living areas might make more use of lighter, open weave fabrics filter light while allowing the view to be seen.

Bathrooms and kitchens have moisture and oil in the air, so durable and resistant fabrics are perfect here.

2. Think about aspect and climate.

Our warmer climate, with the occasional chilly winter weeks, means insulation is key to fabric choice.

The right fabric will keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter, keeping energy costs low but maintaining style.

Motorised options are also worth considering for ease and functionality.

For those catching a lot of sun, fabric can help protect furniture and flooring.

3. Don’t limit your personal style.

From monochrome to explosions of colour, there will be a perfect fabric you’ll love.

Understanding available style options may mean thinking about pairing blinds and curtains, or looking at different kinds of blinds altogether.

You might want to explore the world of honeycomb blinds, skylight blinds or roman blinds.

Whatever your direction,  we’re here to help.
